The Sun have recently published a report concerning Premier League outfit Brighton and some of the players they are said to be eyeing moves for.
The two players in question are CSKA Moscow forward Fedor Chalov and Tottenham defender, Kyle Walker-Peters.
Chalov’s CSKA stint
Fedor Chalov is a product of CSKA Moscow’s youth system.
The now 21-year-old has racked up 113 appearances across all competitions for the Russian outfit.
In those 113 ties, Chalov has found the back of the net on 36 occasions and he has also provided 19 assists.
Chalov has been a regular feature for CSKA this term with the centre-forward scoring six and assisting five across all competitions.
And as per the aforementioned report from the Sun, Brighton are in the market for a long-term replacement for an ageing Glen Murray.
Murray is now 36 years of age and out of contract with the Seagulls in the summer.
KWP to Brighton?
As for Kyle Walker-Peters, he has struggled for first-team minutes so far this campaign.
The 22-year-old would feature in Tottenham’s first three league games of the season.
However, KWP has not made an appearance for the Lilywhites in the league since.
New Spurs boss Jose Mourinho also doesn’t seem to be to big a fan of Walker-Peters with the defender not in Tottenham’s last six PL matchday squads.
Plus, a case can be made that Spurs’ right-back spot is one of their weakest areas with a rather poor Serge Aurier their current first choice.
And if KWP can’t even beat Aurier to a regular starting spot, it seems unlikely he will become a regular feature for Tottenham anytime soon.
So, he may be inclined to leave the North London outfit for a side like Brighton were he will probably get more minutes.
