Both sides go into the tie in fairly average form.
Chelsea have won just two of their last five PL ties, the latest of which saw them lose 1-0 away to Newcastle on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have lost just one of their last five league outings, but only one of those clashes ended with a victory for the Gunners.
Despite their dip in form, Chelsea remain 4th in the English top-flight.
Although, both Manchester United and Wolves are just five points adrift of the Blues.
Lampard on Reece James & Marcos Alonso
Heading into the Arsenal clash, Frank Lampard held his latest press conference on Monday.
When speaking to the media, Lampard would provide updates on Reece James and Marcos Alonso.
James has been in fine form for the London outfit this term and is one of just several Chelsea youth products to be thriving under the guidance of Lampard.
But the full-back was forced off 75 minutes into Chelsea’s latest defeat.
Let’s hope it’s not a serious one…

However, when speaking about Reece James on Monday, Lampard confirmed the defender’s injury is not as bad as it could have been and he is in contention to face Arsenal.
“He has got an injury to the back of the knee. Not as bad as it could have been. In contention for tomorrow, but we will decide tomorrow. He has had an injury at the beginning of the season. Hopefully he will be back tomorrow.” As quoted by football.london.
The Chelsea boss then confirmed Marcos Alonso is back fit:
“Yes, Alonso is back fit.” As quoted by football.london.
