The Blues would see off Nottingham Forest in the previous round and should be full of confidence heading into this tie.
Hull are having an ok season in the Championship but they have spent the majority of the campaign around midtable.
Meanwhile, the London outfit are 4th in the English top-flight and are generally much better away from Stamford Bridge this term.
This competition also presents a great chance for Frank Lampard to clinch some silverware in his first season as Chelsea boss.
Although, the young manager will likely be prioritising a top-four finish and may make some changes this weekend.
Loftus-Cheek back in training
Ahead of their FA Cup clash, Chelsea look to have been handed a huge boost on the injury front.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been out of action for Chelsea since May of 2019 after the midfielder ruptured his Achilles tendon.
This was a big blow for Chelsea at the time with RLC arguably producing some of his best displays last term, especially in the Europa League.
But it seems the England international is edging closer to a return to action.
The Daily Mail have reported that Loftus-Cheek has returned to full training and is said to have trained with Lampard’s squad at Cobham on Friday.
