Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood has, on Sunday, clinched what will no doubt be just one of many individual awards he will garner throughout his career.
Despite being just 18 years of age, Greenwood has managed to cement himself as an integral member of United’s attacking trident since the restart.
The youngster is naturally a centre-forward but has largely been deployed on the right of a front three by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
That hasn’t stopped the England under-21 international taking the Premier League by storm recently though.
Greenwood’s combination of pace, quick feet, a deadly strike and a keen eye for goal makes him a nightmare for opposition defenders.
So impressive has Greenwood been of late that Alan Shearer has even tipped him to one day break his Premier League goalscoring record.
Greenwood wins award
Now, as mentioned above, Greenwood’s fine form has earned him an individual award.
Bruno Fernandes, not surprisingly, has dominated Man United’s Player of the Month awards since he arrived at Old Trafford – clinching the last three awards in February, March and June.
However, July’s award has deservedly gone to Mason Greenwood.
The young forward earned a staggering 46 percent of the vote beating Anthony Martial, who finished second and Bruno Fernandes, who finished third.

July would see Greenwood score three goals in six Premier League outings, including a particularly key one vs West Ham which earned Man United a point.
Said strike, along with his brace vs Bournemouth have also been nominated for Man United’s Goal of the Month award. Watch all the nominated strikes below.
