Arsenal vs Chelsea
Arsenal and Chelsea are currently going head-to-head in Sunday’s early Premier League kick-off.
Chelsea began the day sat 4th in the English top-flight.
However, after Manchester United picked up a win over Burnley on Saturday, the Blues were just one point above 5th place when they kicked off at the Emirates.
8th place Sheffield United are also in action at 6:00 pm UK time on Sunday. And should the Blades pick up all three points vs Manchester City, they will knock Chelsea out of the top four, if Frank Lampard’s side don’t get something out of the Arsenal game.
So, a win over the North London outfit is of paramount importance to Chelsea.
As for Arsenal, they began the day 12th in the PL, eight points adrift of a Champions League place.
As of writing, Arsenal are leading the tie 1-0.
Pulisic left out
Chelsea would release their matchday squad to take on the Gunners an hour before kick-off on Sunday.
And there was one very noticeable omission as Christian Pulisic was left out of the 18.

However, Chelsea have since provided an explanation for the American’s absence.
As per Chelsea’s official website, Pulisic felt something in his hamstring after training vs Southampton and has been left out as a precaution.
Chelsea also confirmed that Marcos Alonso, Reece James and Olivier Giroud missed the trip to Arsenal due to injuries:
Marcos Alonso and Reece James failed to recover from injuries that kept them out of the last game in time to be considered today, and Christian Pulisic felt a hamstring training after the Southampton game and is left out as a precaution. Olivier Giroud is also injured.
